Interior Service

Our interior ant treatment is used for heavily infested homes or for homes dealing with ants in the winter. The products we use includes a foam product and ant bait discs. The foam is sprayed into various cracks and crevices around the house where the ants are crawling out. The most common include; underneath home appliances, behind baseboards, around outlets, and inside unfinished rooms. The ant bait discs are put inside rooms of the home where the ants are the most active. The ant takes the bait and returns it back to the nest to spread throughout the colony before killing them. The foam product works in the same way. They don’t kill the ants right away. It can take 2 weeks to see a difference in ant activity after an interior treatment. It should take 30 days for the entire colony of ants to be exterminated.

Exterior Service

We do exterior ant treatments when there is no longer snow on the ground. We focus on spraying around the foundation of the home. We also treat around areas that ants may climb to bypass entering the house through the foundation. This includes decks, downspouts, trees that touch the house, and other foliage. This product can only be sprayed 2 feet off the ground and 2 feet away from the house. Only licensed pest control technicians can use the product. The ants that we see outside only make up 10% of an ant colony. The rest of the ants stay underground for their entire lives. Ants that cross over the product carry it back inside the nest. Once in the nest, it spreads to the rest of the colony. It takes 6 to 12 hours for an ant to die after getting the product on them. After an exterior ant treatment, it takes 30 days for the product to kill an entire ant colony.
