Water-damaged or rotting wood releases a pheromone that carpenter ants are attracted to. They will travel up to 100 yards away to find it. The soft rotting wood makes it easy for ants to chew through tunnels or galleries. They store their eggs, larvae, and food inside their chewed tunnels. Carpenter ants do not digest the wood; they only chew it and then spit it out. What they spit out turns to frass which looks like sawdust. One carpenter ant colony will take a long time to cause significant structural damage. The cause for the wood becoming water-damaged will cause more structural damage then the ants.

Our ant treatments allow the ants inside the home to carry our product back inside their nests. During our ant services, we treat around the foundation, sidewalks, patios, decks, and driveways. The treatment itself takes one hour to dry. Once it dries, any ants that cross over the treated surfaces will carry the product back to their nest. Once inside the nest, the product will spread and eventually kill the entire colony including the queen. This process takes up to 30 days to eliminate 100% of an ant colony. Each ant service we provide also comes with a one-year warranty in case the ant activity persists after 30 days.

Ant Identification 

Mice do not hibernate and stay active all year round. During their lifespans, they spend their time either mating, foraging for food, or sleeping. One female mouse could have 10 litters in one year. To feed all these baby mice, they need to forage to find food. As they move in and out of the home to find food they leave scent trails. Mice are nocturnal, so the scent trails allow the mice to find their way back to their nests at night. They always bring back more food than they need and will add seeds, nuts, and human or pet food to their stockpile for the winter.

Mouse Identification

Wasps build nests in a variety of locations and a variety of shapes and sizes. Paper wasps (top left) build unique-looking nests where the cells that hold the eggs and larvae are visible from the outside. They build their nests in peaks, door frames, window frames, and inside gutters with gutter covers. Bald-faced hornets (top right) only build aerial nests that are teardrop-shaped. This means the top of the nest is the widest part and becomes narrower at the bottom, where the entrance is located. Yellow jackets (bottom) build nests that can be found in unused rodent tunnels, foundations, trees, and other structures. They are also capable of building spherical-shaped aerial nests.

Removing an active wasp nest without professional help or advice can lead to injury and hospitalization. We use professional-grade safety equipment and products that help us provide effective results. Each wasp nest requires different tactics to remove them. A nest inside another structure, like the foundation or an aerial nest, makes it impossible to know how many wasps are inside and where the queen is. These types of nests require a professional to help exterminate the nest safely and effectively. Depending on the size after our service, it could take 14-30 days to exterminate the wasp nest.

Once the product sits for one hour and dries, it’s 100% safe for pets and kids. When it’s dry, it will still be effective in killing spiders for up to 2 months.

These bugs are often first spotted during the fall on the outside of homes and inside in the winter and spring. Both these bugs spend most of their lives in the summer living in trees and other plants. These habitats are where they lay their eggs, mate, and feed before winter. As temperatures start to drop, they become motivated to find places to overwinter. Once inside for the winter, they can start becoming active during sunny days that warm up the roof, windows, and siding. When they are active in the winter they are not feeding, mating, or laying eggs inside.

The service we provide in the fall prevents these bugs from getting inside during the winter. The treatment is more effective if the application is done right before the swarms become visible on the home. At this point, a population has already made its way inside. The product we use stays effective for up to 2 months and will kill any insect that lands on the home before it can get inside.
