Yes, we do remove wasp nests! But we only remove nests as high as our equipment can reach. Right around 25-30 feet high. But there are times when leaving a nest up on the house or tree will benefit our wasp nest targeting service. Yellow jackets and Bald-faced hornets build large cone-shaped or spherical nests off the ground. By the end of the summer, these nests can house anywhere between 500-5000 wasps! When a nest is that large, there is going to be a significant number of foraging wasps far away from the nest on the day we treat it. We want these wasps to come back to the nest so that they will also be affected by our treatment and carry it inside the nest. After 1 week, the nest should be completely dead. Once a nest is dead, it will never be used again. So you can either wait for the wind and nature to remove it or leave it up so that no other wasps can build a new nest in the same location next year.
