Pavement Ants
Pavement ants that have wings are reproductive females and males. They are similar in size and color to worker pavement ants. They can either be colored brown or brownish-black. A winged ant is 0.6 cm and a worker ant is 0.3 cm. They both have clubbed antennas. The winged ants appear in late spring and summer.
Ant Services
We offer interior and exterior ant treatments in Minnetrista Minnesota. Our interior treatments are often done in the winter. In the winter the snow keeps us from treating the exterior of the home. When we treat inside we use a foam product. We spray the product inside cracks, crevices, and under home appliances that the ants are coming out of. When we spray the exterior we spray along the foundation and around decks and patios that touch the home. Both products keep the ants alive long enough to carry the product back into their nests. Only 10% of the ants in an ant colony leave the nest. Our product will spread across the rest of the colony that lives underground. It takes 30 days to kill an entire ant colony.

Mice in Minnetrista Minnesota
Mouse Behavior
Mice in Minnetrista Minnesota that live outside either build nests in trees, underground burrows, or inside thick grasses. As prey animals, they need to stay hidden from predators. They also breed all year instead of having a designated breeding season like other mammals. This helps their offspring survive based on all the threats they face on a day-to-day bases. Most mice only live for 1 or 2 years at the very most. They live in groups with multiple individuals. There are usually 1 or 2 males multiple females and their offspring. Each mouse forages and stores food away for the entire group to eat. When they move inside homes in the fall they follow scent trails made by other mice to help them find entry points and navigate their way through the house or building.
Mouse Service
It’s challenging to find a trustworthy and effective mouse service in Minnetrista Minnesota. At BOGO pest control our reviews and warranty speak for themselves. We don’t try to prolong the mouse problem by forcing our customers into contracts. We want to solve the mouse problem with just one service. If we don’t solve the issue on the first service most of our customers receive a full 2-year warranty. This warranty starts 30 days after our seal-up service is completed. If any more mice are getting caught inside we will come back to the home free of charge to seal up any entry points we may have missed. The other warranty we offer is a 2-visit 2-year warranty for customers who have homes with limitations.

The paper wasp is one of the largest social wasps in Minnetrista Minnesota. They grow to be between 0.75-1.0 inches in length. They have 2 orange antennas and a black yellow pattern of stripes and triangles on their thorax. The nest they build gives them their nickname the umbrella wasp. They build each nest from scratch every summer. They are flat and oval or circular shaped. One very unique feature their nests have is the hexagonal cells that hold their eggs and larvae are visible from the outside. Each nest can have 30-70 workers by the end of the summer.
Yellow Jackets

They build their nests in a variety of locations. They build spherical-shaped aerial nests, underground nests, nests inside trees or tree stumps, and cracks and crevices inside buildings and homes. Each nest is built from scratch each spring. By the end of the summer, their nests can have between 1,000-4,000 workers.
Wasp Service
We offer two different wasp services. One service is designed to prevent wasps from building nests on the exterior of the home. The other is to kill already-built nests. No wasp service will prevent you from seeing foraging wasps. Foraging wasps are attracted to homes with wooden decks and cedar shake roofs. They use the wood to make their nesting material. Each one of these services has a warranty that lasts until the end of the wasp season.

Spiders in Minnetrista Minnesota
Spider Behavior
Minnetrista Minnesota has a variety of spiders. Each one serves an important role in the habitats and ecosystems that surround the town. Without spiders, other insects in Minnetrista would become overpopulated. These insects would then be able to spread more diseases and destroy more plants. Some of the most common spiders are cellar spiders, house spiders, and daddy-long-legs. These spiders are all web-building spiders. The other type of spider is a hunting spider. These include wolf spiders, sac spiders, and jumping spiders.
Spider Habitat
Habitats where spiders live all have one thing in common. They live in habitats that also attract insects. More insects means more food for the spiders. These habitats include areas near bodies of water and wooded habitats. A few insects that live near bodies of water include; mosquitos, ticks, flies, and a variety of beetles. In wooded habitats, spiders eat insects that live under leaf litter and inside trees. A few of these insects include; ants, sowbugs, springtails, and silverfish. Spiders will also follow these insects inside people’s homes.
Spider Service
Our signature spider service is a single service. The product that we spray stays effective for 2 months. For homes that are built close to a body of water or wooded habitat, we highly recommend having multiple treatments done to stay ahead of the spider population in the area. Our service is designed to keep the spiders from building webs on the exterior of the home and getting inside the home. Our exterior service is far more effective than our interior service. All the spiders that are inside the home came inside from the outside.

The most common are; under broken weather stripping, cracks in the foundation, cracks in window screens or caulking, and underneath the siding. Once inside the bugs won’t lay eggs or mate. They mate and lay eggs in the spring and fall. The most common places to find them in the spring and summer include gardens and crop fields. Boxelder and Stink Bug Treatment
Our boxelder bug and stink bug service in Minnetrista takes place in the fall. Our service is designed to keep bugs from overwintering inside homes. The product we use stays effective for 2 months. During this time any bug that lands on the sprayed areas will die after 30-45 minutes. We treat around the entire exterior of the home. We start from the foundation and work up to soffits or as high as our sprayers will reach. The treatment is more effective if completed right before the swarms start to appear.

Ash Tree Service in Minnetrista Minnesota
Benefits of Treating Ash Trees
Minnetrista Minnesota is in danger of losing all of its ash trees! The ash trees are almost all infected with the emerald ash borer. Once an ash tree is infected there are two choices. Either you have to cut the tree down or you can save the tree by treating it. Different variables make cutting down a large ash tree cost a lot of money. It costs more to cut a tree down depending on where the tree is located, how large the tree is, and how sick the ash tree is. Many companies are also raising their prices to cut ash trees down due to the high demand. The environmental benefits of saving a tree are also an important factor. One ash tree can absorb 1000 pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere in just one year. They also help with water runoff from polluting rivers and lakes. A mature tree can absorb over 2000 gallons of water a year.
Ash Tree Service
There are a variety of ways to treat ash trees. But not every treatment is as effective as the next. What we do is called pneumatic microinjections. This involves drilling small holes around the base of the tree. Each hole is injected with our product individually. By injecting it individually we can measure the dosage for each injection and watch as the tree takes the injection up. The dosage is extremally important to measure as this allows the product to spread evenly and reach every branch.
