The Twin Cities area is full of beautiful homes surrounded by wooded areas, rivers and some of the 10,000 lakes for which Minnesota is known. Whether your home is brand new or it has stood the test of time for close to a century, few homes are completely protected against pest invasion. A small crack in the foundation or a tiny hole under an eave can be the entry point for many insects or mice into your home. BOGO Pest Control is your trusted source for residential pest prevention and elimination in the greater Twin Cities metro area.

We offer a signature service that protects your home from 100s of insects with no contracts attached! Whether it’s preventing wasps from building nests on your home or preventing ants from getting inside this plan protects your home from all of it! The service provides each customer with insect protection from the Spring to Fall. Many other companies in our industry believe that treating in the winter is also necessary but this is not true! We do not charge our customers for an insect treatment in the middle of the winter.
Did you know it only requires a 3/8” hole or the diameter of a pen for mice to enter your home? The extreme temperatures in Minnesota can cause the expansion and contraction of cement, siding, and materials on your home, resulting in small gaps in the exterior. You may not see these entry points, but pests like mice and other rodents will sniff them out. Setting out traps and bait will catch and eliminate a few of the mice in your home, but for a long-term solution, you need a home Pest Protection Plan.
At BOGO Pest Control, we work with homeowners and landlords in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area to customize effective plans to stop mice and rodents from entering residential homes. We take the time to crawl around the foundation, search basements and roof lines for any pest-entry points. Our crews are thorough, and when we are done sealing your home, you will have peace of mind knowing your pest problem will be finally under control.
Common Pests in The Twin Cities Area
Minnesota’s hot summers and bitterly cold winters give wild mice, rats, lemmings, and other rodents all the more reason to seek shelter in residential and commercial spaces.
During the “swarming” season, wasps will actively seek out dormant hives and sheltered areas fit for their colony. These often include rock crevices, roof overhangs, and hollowed trees.
Being inherently opportunistic, ant hordes can quickly take over residential and commercial spaces if food or suitable nesting habitats are present.
Boxelder Bugs come in swarms during the fall months in search of areas to overwinter. They can be found enjoying the UV rays on south-facing walls and in the winter they can be found inside the home.
Stink Bugs were first seen in Minnesota in 2010. Since then they have become a big problem as they move inside homes in the fall to overwinter.
Minnesota has its fair share of insects. The plentiful woods and water ensure that insects have an environment to thrive until winter comes around. When insects move from the trees and lakeshores into your home, you need the right extermination plan to get them under control. At BOGO, we offer insect extermination and prevention plans to control:

Did you know that an invasive insect called the emerald ash borer is killing ash trees all across Minnesota? These insects lay eggs on the bark of ash trees. When the eggs hatch the larvae chew under the bark into the cambium layer. This tree layer marks the tree’s youngest part or the outermost ring. The emerald ash borer larvae feed on the layer before becoming adults. As this layer becomes more damaged, the ash tree can no longer spread essential nutrients and water to all the branches and leaves of the tree. Infected ash trees are easy to identify as the highest branches start to die first.
When dealing with an infected ash tree there are only two options; cut the tree down or save the tree by treating it. Saving large and mature ash trees has multiple benefits including; health benefits, environmental benefits and cost benefits.
I own a large warehouse and have used several Pest Control Companies over the years. All the providers I’ve used just check the box. I had a difficult time targeting rodents in my facility. The previous technicians provided no other solutions or support. I did my research to find a company that would provide me with what I was looking for. BOGO Pest Control did three times the work the other companies provided combined! They have completely sealed all the openings to prevent rodents from entering. We went from a time of not being able to get the rodents under control before BOGO. Today we have the building under control. I highly recommend BOGO Pest Control for your commercial pest needs.
“We had bought a house in Plymouth 3 years ago to find out we had mice. We looked at several pest control services and discover BOGO was the only company that would do a 2 year warranty on their services. It cost a little more but was worth every penny. The owner used to do something totally different and found he had mice. He dedicated himself to figure out how to mitigate it. He found that if you find the entry spot, you control the mice. He would not leave our home until he discovered our mouse entry point to seal it. He did, and it has been 3 years and we are still mouse free. He is the best and you would be a fool not to hire him.”
“Really impressed! We’ve been in our home about a year; the seller’s had used BOGO in the past for mice. We were still in the warranty window from the seller’s previous service when we caught a mouse in our furnace room. One phone call and they were out within a day. They spotted a few new problem areas in our exterior soffits and sealed them up. Also talked us through what to watch for and set a few more traps (so far no more mice). All included in the warranty we inherited from our seller, no questions asked. You have to love a company that does good work, backs up their service and is very responsive and professional along the way. Highly recommend!”
